Marina de Vilamoura and Nova Marina now have their desalination systems up and running. With these units, Marina de Vilamoura reinforces its contribution to the preservation of water resources and a more sustainable future, continuously promoting efficient and responsible resource management.
These systems not only contribute to the optimisation of the water resources of Marina de Vilamoura but also serve the activities of boat washing at Nova Marina, the shipyard, irrigation, and other uses of non-potable water.

In this desalination process, the treatment of saltwater uses the reverse osmosis methodology, drawing water from the inner basin of Marina de Vilamoura, complemented by an automatic maintenance and equipment reading system, with remote communication to the responsible team, maximising efficiency.
